From Dope and Devastation to Hope and Salvation
God is still transforming me daily into His likeness. I am a work in progress until that day comes when he will take me home to live with Him. Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
Mom always told me that God had a very special purpose for my life, and that she would live to see the day that I would be doing the will of God, free from the bondage of sin and drugs. She prophesied those words over me, when I was very young, and she saw them come true. It was her prayers that broke that grip that Satan had over my life.
Satan didn’t have a chance when my mom prayed.
I'm so blessed to be a part of what God is doing at such a time as this, and as I look over my life I know some people said I wouldn't make it, or ever amount to anything. Most everyone gave up on me, including a few of my family members.
But, God had the final say!
I am becoming the man that God always planned for me to be. I’m not there yet, but I’m sure not anything like I use to be, thanks be to God. I'm so thankful for His grace and the loving kindness He has shown me over and over again for so many years.
God not only saved my life, but I am considered one of His own.
And even though I didn’t have a father growing up,
I HAVE ONE NOW…HIS NAME IS JESUS!
